Come, Lord Jesus, Come

Come, Lord Jesus, Come

Summary

We all feel it. There has been a shift. The world seems out of control, and what we’ve read in the Bible concerning the last days seems to be coming true right before our eyes. Our days are a cocktail of fear, deception, and discord. As we look to the future, many of us are feeling hopeless.

Yet, Jesus’ final words recorded in the Gospel of Matthew were words of encouragement: Do not fear. Jesus took the time to remind us that He would never leave us. But how can we be encouraged when so much in our world is falling apart? How can we have hope? How can we look to the future without fear?

The answer is God. God is our hope and our destination. We don’t have to fear our futures because our futures are secure in Him.

The purpose of this study is not to dive into the timeline or interpretations of end-times events. Instead, the purpose is to encourage us and help us hold on to the hope we have in Christ as we prepare our minds and hearts for the last days.

In this six-week study, we will see throughout the Bible that Jesus, as well as others, often talked about His return. The purpose of this study is to offer encouragement as the hour draws near, helping us to live aware but not in fear. As we watch and wait for Christ’s return, may He find us working and witnessing. The one who testifies to these things says, “Yes, I am coming soon!” Amen! Come, Lord Jesus! – Revelations 22:20

The SOAP method is a simple, powerful way to slow down and truly engage with God’s Word, and we use this study method on all of our Bible studies. This acronym stands for Scripture, Observation, Application, and Prayer. Using this method, you will study God’s Word by writing out Scripture, observing key details, applying it to your life, and praying over what you’ve learned.

Put this method to practice and discover how it helps make Scripture come alive in new and meaningful ways. Learn more about SOAP.

Love God Greatly studies utilize the NET translation as our primary translation. You can also find this translation used in all of our Love God Greatly Bibles.

You’ll find our Facebook community to be a great place to find community, encouragement, and discussion, but it’s completely optional. You can experience the full depth of the study without joining a Facebook group.

While we do schedule Bible studies for our community to begin and journey through together throughout the year, you do not need to wait for a specific start date!

Just pick up the study and begin whenever you’re ready. Even if you have just 15 minutes a day, that’s enough time to engage meaningfully in God’s Word.

Our studies are designed to be flexible and accessible for everyone at any time. You can complete them entirely on your own, at your own pace, and on your own schedule.

Whether you prefer to study on your own, with a friend, in a small group, or with our LGG community, our Bible studies are created to help you build a daily habit of spending time in God’s Word.

We publish daily and weekly study content through our email newsletter, blog, and social media as each study is underway. You can always access past studies through our LGG App or the LGG Blog where you’ll find any additional study resources available to support you.
