SHAME BREAKER JOURNAL
Finding Freedom in Him
Do you find yourself struggling with shame in your life? Whether we like to admit it or not, the power of shame affects all of us. Shame seeks to keep us from living the faith filled life God has planned. Instead of living out our potential, shame cloaks us in regret, insecurity, and doubt. The shame in our lives needs to meet our Shame Breaker.
Shame Breaker is a four-week Bible study on overcoming shame. Through this study you will discover the great power of Christ over the shame in our lives. As we study the lives of many biblical heroes, we find the shame-breaking character of our God, who still, today, redeems us from the power of shame. Perfect for personal or small group study, the Shame Breaker Bible study journal includes daily Scripture passages, SOAP pages, daily devotions, challenges, reflection questions, and encouragement from women around the world.
100% of your journal purchase goes back into the ministry, helping us translate each study into multiple languages as we reach more women around the world with God’s Word.

God is the Shame Breaker
Sometimes I go to a dark place in my soul, and I struggle with feelings of not being enough. I will lay in bed at night wrestling with dark thoughts. A sinister voice whispers to me: “You are not loved. You will never be enough. You might as well just give up the...
Our Pasts Are Forgiven
This saying is trustworthy: If we died with him, we will also live with him. If we endure, we will also reign with him. If we deny him, he will also deny us. If we are unfaithful, he remains faithful, since he cannot deny himself. -2 Timothy 2:11-13 Have you ever...
The Shame of Exposure
It is Scriptures like John 8 that completely keep me in awe of God, His love, and His pursuit of me and you. This woman was brought before the King of kings, before the one who hates sin but loves the sinner so much that He left His glory to come to earth to die....
The Shame of Sickness
Time is a funny thing. While it is constant with every minute having sixty seconds and every hour sixty minutes, it can fly by or it can drag. My children share an electronic tablet and they each get half an hour to play games on it. For the one waiting, half an hour...
Faith that Overcomes Shame
I love the story of Bartimaeus in Mark 10:46-52. Bartimaeus was a blind man, a beggar sitting by the road when Jesus and His disciples passed by. Bartimaeus was a man whose life was marked by shame. During that time period, disabilities were reasons to cast out people...
Shame Off You
David’s early life was marked with such anointing and strength. The stories we read of David in the Bible are legendary--killing a bear and lion with his bare hands, defeating Goliath with only a stone and a sling, being anointed king of Israel when he was a young...
Broken Pieces
Before our wedding, we received a china tea cup as a wedding gift. Unfortunately, it shattered in the mail. The store didn’t allow me to return it so I made a mosaic frame from the pieces to hold a copy of our wedding invitation. I’ve looked at it many times over the...
The Shame of Weakness
Israel was in trouble. They had continually disobeyed God and done what was evil in the sight of the Lord. God gave Israel over to the people of Midian for seven years. During this time the Israelites made little dens for themselves in the mountains to hide their...
The Shame of Past Decisions
One of the many things I love about the Bible are the numerous stories of redemption, especially the victorious comebacks from the underdogs. Our God has certainly authored some of the greatest stories that still offer us hope today. I have experienced pain, guilt,...
The Shame of Not Being Enough
I have struggled with a sense of shame almost my whole life. Some of my earliest memories of school involve an overwhelming sense of shame. I vividly remember being in kindergarten and one of my classmates already knowing how to read. Right after learning one of the...
The Shame of Barrenness
In our Scripture today we find ourselves in Abraham and Sarah’s story. Abraham (called Abram at this point) had already received God’s promise to give him an heir and descendants more numerous than the stars in the sky (Genesis 15:1-6). It was an unbelievable promise...
Made for Community – Shame Breaker Translations
Brokenness, betrayal, abandonment, shame, contempt. These are not the words you want to come to mind when you look at our family photo prayer card on your fridge. We were three months away from being commissioned formally to become missionaries at our church. That...
Jesus Covers Our Shame
When was the last time you made a bad choice? A really bad choice. A choice you made out of fear. A choice in which you disregarded and willfully disobeyed God. A choice that left you humiliated, broken, and ashamed. The choice to sin. If you are like me, you have...
Shame Breaker Introduction
Shame is sneaky. It likes to hide and makes us want to hide and become invisible with it. It holds us back and makes us feel as though we are not enough. It zaps our confidence and likes to remind us of all our short comings. Whether we like to admit it or not, the...
