Statement of Belief

Our mission to help women love God greatly with their lives is shaped from our beliefs about God and how He has revealed Himself to us through the Bible.

Here is a brief summary of what we believe to be true:

The Nicene Creed

We believe in one God, the Father, the Almighty maker of heaven and earth, of all that is, seen and unseen.

We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father, God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, of one Being with the Father. Through him all things were made.

For us men and for our salvation he came down from heaven:
by the power of the Holy Spirit he became incarnate from the Virgin Mary, and was made man.

For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate; he suffered death and was buried. On the third day he rose again in accordance with the Scriptures; he ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end.

We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of Life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son. With the Father and the Son he is worshipped and glorified. He has spoken through the Prophets.

We believe in one holy catholic* and apostolic Church.

We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins.

We look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come. Amen.

*The use of the word “catholic” in the Nicene Creed is not an alignment with solely the Roman Catholic church, but rather, catholic is a term meaning “general, universal, concerning the whole.” The confession of belief in one “holy catholic and apostolic Church” means we believe there is one body of believers in which Jesus Christ alone is the foundation and only through Him can we have unity with other believers.

Summary Of Beliefs

The Bible is God’s infallible Word.

God exists as three in One: The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Jesus’ deity, virgin birth, sinless humanity, atoning death on the cross, bodily resurrection, and ascension into heaven.

All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

Salvation is by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone.

The Holy Spirit indwells believers, empowering them to live the Christian life.

Christ will return to judge the living and the dead.

The resurrection of the body: eternal life for all true believers in heaven and eternal punishment for all unbelievers in hell.

The church is made up of true believers from every tribe, tongue, and nation.

Believers are commanded to tell others the good news of the gospel.
