I am an ordinary Christian who attended church regularly and raised my children in a community that loved God. Because of my children, I joined a church here in Myanmar and connected with the Burmese branch of Love God Greatly. My first study was Hosea, and I still remember it.
While studying the Bible with Love God Greatly, I learned a lot and felt close to God as I studied His Word every morning. My love for God grew more and more every day and, one day, the branch leader asked me if I could translate the Bible studies from English to Burmese. At first, I pretended that I did not hear the request, but I soon decided to join the team.
Around that time, we all faced a global pandemic. Our country shut down, and our LGG group met online instead of in person. We experienced much loss during that time, and my family also had COVID. I still remember how we could not even go out and get medicine, but how dear friends came to cook for us and bring us the medicine and help we needed.
During that time, I had nothing to stand on but God’s promises. God used that time to bring me closer to Him. I opened my heart to whatever God wanted me to do.
God was good to our family and allowed us to recover. Soon after, my branch leader asked me to start a new branch and translate the studies into Karen. I had promised God that if He wanted to use me, I would do it. We started out as a very small branch, but God has graciously added more women to our team. Praise God for what He has done for me and how He has given me a chance to serve Him through Love God Greatly. I know I am nothing without Him, and I know He cares for me.
