“Blessed is the king who comes in the name of the Lord! Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!” –Luke 19:38
Blessed is the God of all the earth, our Savior, King, and Redeemer. The One who is and is to come. The everlasting King of glory. The Lion and the Lamb. The One who looks on us with mercy and saves us daily. The One who loves us with an everlasting love. Glorious in holiness, fearful in praise, doing great wonders. Hallelujah!
Let us worship and praise this great King who is our Father. He is worthy, throughout all eternity, to be praised. He brought help and peace to people. He brought salvation, so that we are no longer bound by sin. He is the One who sees and does.
Jesus brought salvation and put an end to the bondage of humanity. Everyone who believes in Him now has life and life in abundance. He brought the highest glory to the Father. Worship the Lord with me!
Jesus is all these things and more, yet He took on this frail form and flesh of man. He is a King, in fact the King of kings, yet His family was not rich. They didn’t have influence or standing in society. Jesus was born in Nazareth, where nothing good was expected to be found. He lived so low and made friends with the outcasts of society. His disciples were fishermen and tax collectors, people no one would choose for anything of meaning. He was so relatable that children came to Him. He did not ask for a majestic horse or cart to enter Jerusalem; He chose a donkey. He didn’t gloat when some refused to believe in Him—instead, He wept.
Jesus, you are beyond words! Your plans are beyond humans, Your ways are perfect. I join my voice with all your daughters studying today to shout glory to the almighty King of all the heavens and earth. Your reign is forever and ever. May we all continue to draw closer and closer to You.
Love,
