“Our prayers may be awkward. Our attempts may be feeble. But since the power of prayer is in the one who hears it and not the one who says it, our prayers do make a difference.” – Max Lucado

I think one of the biggest lies many of us are listening to in this critical day in age is the lie that our prayers don’t matter.

The lie that our prayers don’t matter and won’t change anything is keeping us from boldly praying prayers that will ultimately change our world.

This lie is keeping us from deepening our relationship with Jesus and making us ineffective. This lie is making us pray “safe” prayers. Prayers that are generic in words, and we never know if God is answering them or not. This dangerous lie keeps us from stepping out in bold faith and trusting God with the unknown.

And that is exactly what Satan wants.

He doesn’t want us praying prayers that strengthen our faith — prayers where the only answer to their fulfillment is God. Prayers, when answered, help us “see” God powerfully at work in our lives and grow our faith.

Those are the type of prayers that make Satan shake in his boots and flee. Those are the types of prayers we need to boldly pray…prayers that change the world.

Listen, no matter how you feel, you need to know that your prayers matter!

One of my absolute favorite examples of this truth is in Daniel 10:12. Here we see Daniel earnestly praying, and a few days later finally receiving an answer to his prayers with the words: “I have come because of your words…”

God literally sent an angel to comfort and answer Daniel’s prayer. His words mattered, and so do yours.

So, instead of praying generic, comfortable prayers, let’s turn up the faith notch and boldly step forward by praying prayers where the only answer to “How this is possible?” is God.

Because at the end of the day, our lives are not about us but about Him. Our days are not for our glory but His.

What type of prayer does God boldly answer?

I’m so glad you asked!

Just take a look at the Lord’s Prayer. Jesus modeled for us how to pray. The focus isn’t on fancy words, or the number of words, but rather words from humble hearts which align themselves with God’s heart.

Imagine what our world would look like if we all prayed more, took it more seriously, and KNEW the words we pray were making a difference in people’s lives and changing eternities.

Below is a short list of prayers God promised to answer:

Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.  John 14:13

If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. John 15:7

You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may give it to you. John 15:16

In that day you will ask nothing of me. Truly, truly, I say to you, whatever you ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. Until now you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.  John 16:23-24

Friends, God promises to answer these prayers. Let’s be women brave enough to pray them!

Let’s storm heaven with powerful prayers that align with God’s heart and advance His Kingdom all over this earth. Just imagine the impact those prayers could make now and in the generations to follow! What a ripple effect your prayers can make in the years to come!

“God uses prayer as a way to know Him. By praying and watching how God responds, we discover the passion of God’s heart and the power of his response. Prayers that God’s Kingdom would fill the earth and attract the full zeal of heaven. “- Dr. Greg Pruett

Friends, let’s be all in! Let’s pray prayers that bring heaven to it’s feet and God’s Kingdom to earth! Your words truly do matter!

Love God Greatly!

My dear friend, Edurne Mencia, unexpectedly passed away on August 1st. She leaves behind three young children and a loving husband.

Edurne was more than just an amazing friend, she was a modern-day hero not only to me, but to many women around the world who had the privilege of calling her their friend, mentor, or leader. Edurne was a woman focus on a critical mission, to do her part in helping spread God’s Word around the world. A mission that led her many times into the jungles of Venezuela by boat with her husband to share translated Bible studies with the women, men and children living there. Edurne loved the work she and her family were doing in Venezuela and the people they were helping.

Edurne didn’t have to go into the jungles. She didn’t have to sacrifice so much. Venezuela was not her native country, but her husband’s. She had been raised in Spain. But following God’s call on her life, she and her husband moved to Venezuela after college, and she made it her home. There she taught Sunday school in her local church, helped in her children’s school and generously gave what she could to help others in her community have food on their tables for their children.

Edurne not only influenced the lives of those in her community, she also influenced women’s lives around the world through her work with Love God Greatly, an online women’s Bible study ministry where she worked as the director of their international branches as well the LGG Spanish branch, Love God Greatly. The impact of Edurne’s life will be felt for generations to come. She inspired hundreds of thousands of women all around the world, helping them love God greatly in their own languages.

Whether serving locally or online, Edurne’s life was marked by her love for God.

Please keep Edurne’s family in your prayers and donate what you can to help support her family in this time of need. May we rise up and help her family like she has helped so many families around the world!

Romans 8:
For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Psalm 34:18
The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.
