I am the fifth child in a big family, and I have always wanted to share thoughts, experiences, laughter, and life with others. In my family, we took care of our brothers and sisters. It was important to maintain a connection with each other as we built a community of love through our words and actions. We are all created for connection and community. No one is capable of fulfilling God’s purpose alone; we need each other.

“How good and how pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!” (Psalm 133:1).

When I decided to leave Ukraine and move to Switzerland, I understood that it would be a challenge for me. Another country, culture, laws, and, eventually, a new language. Of course, I immediately started looking for communities to help me integrate more easily and feel more at home. With God’s help and guidance, I found a small prayer group of four girls. I was very happy to share conversation, unity, prayer, and worship with them. We are all created to play a role in the body of Christ, but we cannot fulfill this mission without being in a community.

“For I long to see you, so that I may impart to you some spiritual gift to strengthen you, that is, that we may be mutually comforted by one another’s faith, both yours and mine” (Romans 1:11–12).

I am sincerely grateful to God for the opportunity to be a translator at Love God Greatly. God brought me here at just the right time. I believe that, through the community of translators at Love God Greatly, God will open many more new communities for His glory. Our service to one another is a great source of encouragement and inspiration. This is what living in a community is all about.
