Deep down, every woman who loves Jesus carries the same desire to live a life that bears good fruit.
That heart desire is no accident. God placed it there.
The Bible is full of real men and women whose lives were transformed by staying close to God. Over the next six weeks, we are going to walk through the fruit of the Spirit and allow them to show us exactly what Spirit-produced fruit looks like in the real world.
We will learn from Mary, whose extravagant love for Jesus became one of the most beautiful acts of worship in all of Scripture. We will walk with Joseph through years of waiting and pain. His life shows us how God produced patience and kindness in a man who had every reason to be bitter. We will follow Ruth, whose faithfulness and goodness changed the course of an entire family line. And so many more.
God preserved their stories in His Word so that we could learn from them, be encouraged by them, and desire to have good spiritual fruit come from our lives.
And here is the most beautiful part. The same God who grew good fruit in their lives is the same God who is at work in yours.
Sweet friend, God wants to grow something lasting in your life. He wants to grow good, spiritual fruit. It is fruit that outlasts every hard season and points those watching straight back to Him.
That kind of fruit is not produced by trying harder. It is produced by staying closer.
So let’s stay close to Jesus together and watch what He grows in and through our lives as we dig into His Word these next six weeks.
