Power of God’s Word

Quote 38

This has been the most amazing study.

To find out how much God loves me and how deep His forgiveness for me goes is overwhelming. Daily I was blown away from the Scriptures that we read.  I realized through this study, the intensity of love my Heavenly Father has for me and how I’ve been keeping it to myself and not sharing it with others — I was not fully forgiving as He forgives me.

I had two revelations that stood out most to me the most.

The first one came as I was doing my SOAP on the Lord’s Prayer, Friday of week 5. I prayed for new eyes, to see something different, and God was faithful!! I realized just how hallowed God’s name is as I learned how deep He loves us. Then came the revelation, Matthew 6:11, “Give us this day our daily bread.” I always put this with the ‘manna’ the Lord had provided daily for the Israelites, but that morning God showed me it was the Bread of Life, our only true Sustenance. If we receive our daily ‘Bread’ we can forgive our debtors, we will have put on the full armor of God, and will be able to not be led into temptation, but be delivered from evil. Meeting with Jesus first every morning prepares us and enables us to walk confidently through our days.

My second ‘’eye opener’’ was in week 7 when our SOAP was Isaiah 61 :10-11. It talks about how the Lord covers us with a garment of salvation and a robe of righteousness which refers to a bridegroom being adorned with ornaments and the bride with jewels. When Jesus offers us salvation and we accept, we are then betrothed to our heavenly Bridegroom. I was reminded even now, God is preparing us for an amazing wedding.

The Bible says, “In My Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto Myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.” John 14:2-4. When I received Jesus as my Lord and Savior, He also became my bridegroom. He has given me the gown I am to wear, now and until He comes to get me. He has gone to prepare my home…our home, as His bride. He will come in a HUGE procession to collect us, His bride, and carry us to the home He has prepared for us…Oh glory day!!!

Am I adorning myself daily with the clothes He has given me to wear? Proverbs 31:10-12 “An excellent wife who can find? She is far more precious than jewels. The heart of her husband trusts in her, and he will have no lack of gain. She does him good, and not harm, all the days of her life.I try and be this for my earthly husband, but in all honesty, I never thought about preparing myself for my heavenly Bridegroom.”

I don’t know about anyone else, but this study was life changing. It was soul cleansing. It was love renewing. It was a blessing, not just to me personally, but to those around me, those I came into contact with. God doesn’t do anything small; He’s just too magnificent for that!! He is changing the world around each of us, one woman at a time!!
