His Purposes

God has a passionate heart for women. He loves women. He loves you. You are made perfectly. And you are more precious than you could ever imagine.

Unfortunately, women have been suppressed and oppressed for many centuries, and many women still are today. But that’s not God’s plan for women. He says that we are precious, and He has made us with a purpose. That’s why we need to realize our true value, our true purpose, and our true mission as women made in His image.

I believe that every follower of Christ has a unique purpose. It has taken me some time to realize mine: to serve women. I am passionate about helping women see how precious they are in God’s eyes. I would love for them to realize their true, God-given value. And that’s why I am so thankful to be part of Love God Greatly.

A few years ago, I was thinking about my personal life goals. After much reflection, I realized that all my small goals could be summed up like this: becoming a godly woman. As I wrestled with the question of how to become a woman after God’s heart and the character traits and behavior I needed to develop, God started to give me a glimpse of how much He loves women. At this point, a vision came to my mind: One day, I would share God’s view on women and His love for them with the world. God began to form a desire in my heart, a desire to serve women, but I couldn’t grasp how I would do it . . . yet.

In 2020, a friend invited me to do an LGG Bible study. At that time, the German branch was looking for translators. I volunteered to become a part of the German translation team, and in doing so, I became part of a ministry that serves women—a ministry that helps women love God greatly. The vision I had a few years ago became my reality. What now seems obvious has taken me two years of translating to realize: that God was pursuing a greater plan in my life. He wants me to serve women. God planted a desire in my heart many years ago, and it grew without me knowing.

Today, I can see His hands in my life, putting things together and accomplishing His purpose within me. Recognizing God’s goodness is overwhelming. The only thing I had to do was to be faithful. While I was being faithful, He developed my passion to serve women and show them His love, for His glory. I love how God prepared me for this ministry long before His specific plans came about.

Love,

Melissa
