When I first came to faith, I quickly noticed something that made my heart ache: there were almost no Bible study resources available in Czech, especially for women. I remember longing for something that would help me grow and that I could share with others.
Then I discovered Love God Greatly. Without hesitation, I started translating their studies into Czech and sharing them with others. I didn’t have a grand plan. I saw a need and wanted to be faithful with the gifts God has given me, namely languages.
For many years, it was just me. Nearly a decade passed before another woman joined, then another, and slowly a team began to form. I won’t pretend those early years were easy. It was often lonely, and there were moments I wondered if it was making any difference at all.
But God was quietly at work the whole time.
When I look back now, I see His fruit – not something I could produce on my own, but something He faithfully grew over time. His patience carried me. His strength sustained me. And His faithfulness never wavered, even when mine did. What felt like slow, unseen work was actually His careful, loving hand at work beneath the surface.
As I look back now, I see His goodness in full. He has raised up a beautiful team of wise, passionate women to lead the Czech branch. Each one is a reflection of His grace, and each one carries His heart for others. It’s so clearly His work, not mine.
It reminds me that the fruit of the Spirit is just that – His fruit. And He is always faithful to grow it, in His time and in His way.
Petra
