The Transforming Power of Christ

One of the prayers I believe every child of God should pray daily is “Father, give me eyes that see. Help me see from your perspective.” Why? Because, most times, we view life and our situations through the lens of our frailty and inadequacies as humans.

We are oftentimes forgetful of what God has said to us. We begin to panic and despair because when we look at how big or seemingly impossible the challenge before us is. These are the moments when we need to remember that the One who promised is the Maker, Owner, and Creator of the heavens and the earth. His power and might is inexhaustible.

This is why it is so important for us to pray for God’s perspective each and every day. God is the one who helps us to begin to view life, challenges, and answers to prayers through His lens and perspective. It allows us to live more restful lives because we know whom we have believed and are sure that He will always come through.

The Boundless Power of Christ

My dear friend, I want to encourage you with these words. The one who has called you is not limited by the economy of the earth. The One who has called you is not dependent on anyone to bring about the fulfillment of what He has said or what He intends to do.

The One who has called you is first faithful, and He is boundless.

He is able to do, show up, and answer far above anything your human mind can fathom or even imagine. He doesn’t do this to show off but to show you how to live. He wants you to live a life of faith and trust in Him. A life that is not perturbed by the storms and worries of life. A life that won’t run up and down because of fear.

He wants you to rise to a place far above the situations and circumstances of life.

The Power of Christ Within You

Ephesians 3:20-21 reminds us that God’s great power is working within us. Hallelujah!

So this great power not only changes external things, but it lives within believers and can transform us into the people God wants us to be. If you have not accepted Jesus into your heart, today can be the day. You, too, can receive the forgiveness, grace, and power of Christ at work in your life. All it takes is faith in Jesus. Choose to abandon your old ways and pray for His power and Spirit to change you from the inside out.

As readily available as Christ’s mighty power is for believers, there are times when we allow sin to begin to take over and prevent us from living in full obedience and freedom. If you are already a believer and in a place where a specific sin has a hold on you, remember that the power of Jesus Christ is within you. He is the one who is able to transform you if only you will live and yield in obedience to the voice of the Holy Spirit.

We are called to live lives of complete obedience to the words of God. Carry your shoulders high, my friend. The power of the Creator of the universe is within you and that power is able to do far above anything you can think or imagine.

SHALOM.
