Since the 2022 Intensive in Spain, our Love God Greatly Chinese branch has carried a deep burden for the women of Asia. Though we’d begun to network with other Asian branches and were encouraged by our growing unity, we still faced a significant challenge:
How could we reach women in mainland China—where access to Christian resources is limited and digital barriers to God’s Word continue to increase?
We had translated nearly every Bible study and built a growing online presence through social media and the YouVersion Bible app. But our hearts still longed to go further—to reach behind the walls of censorship and restrictions, to bring hope and truth into places that felt spiritually unreachable.
In December 2022, we hosted our Hearts for Asia conference in West Lafayette, Indiana. Around 100 women gathered in person and online. We shared powerful video testimonies and updates from our LGG branches in Japan, Indonesia, Mongolia, Thailand, and Myanmar. There was heartfelt prayer for the nations and group SOAP time that reminded us—we are not alone. God is raising up women all across Asia to know Him and make Him known.
At the beginning of 2024, another incredible opportunity unfolded. The LGG main branch partnered with LGG Thailand to conduct a training intensive in Asia.
During that event, a coworker from WeDevote, one of the most popular Chinese Bible apps (with over 100K downloads), was in the audience. Even more importantly, WeDevote is accessible in mainland China. After the conference, this team member connected with us and asked to begin publishing our LGG Bible studies on their platform.
It was an answered prayer beyond what we imagined. Now, LGG Chinese works in tandem with both YouVersion and WeDevote to make our studies available to Chinese-speaking women around the world—including those in mainland China!
To date, we’ve uploaded 48 Bible studies to YouVersion, reaching over 56,000 subscriptions and nearly 20,000 completions.
Through WeDevote, our reach is expanding further than we ever could have managed on our own. And though our team is currently in a season of rest and transition—with new babies, graduations, moves, and marriages—we continue to pray faithfully, press forward with our vision, and give thanks for all God has done.
