This year, Love God Greatly’s Uganda branch reached a significant milestone. In February, we held a facilitators’ training, equipping thirty-two women from various community churches to lead Bible study groups using the SOAP method in the Luganda language. This was the first time Bible studies have been translated into their heart language.
Sylvia, our passionate facilitator, shared her excitement and nervousness as she prepared for the event: “I was thrilled but also nervous about the challenges, like limited funds and power outages. But through God’s grace, the training was a success.”
One of the standout moments came from Pastor Jackie, who shared her transformation:
“Before the training, I struggled to understand God’s Word. Now, using the SOAP method, I can interpret the Bible easily in just 20 minutes. I am confident in teaching others.”
Despite the excitement, many women face significant challenges – financial hardship and illiteracy prevent many from accessing Bible study resources.
These obstacles are real, but Love God Greatly is making a difference by providing accessible, easy-to-understand resources in the Luganda language.
