Sure Deliverance

Our Father is a just God. Verse 36 of today’s portion of Scripture is so profound. The Israelites had faced over 400 years of mistreatment, poverty, and want. And in one fell swoop, God reversed their fortunes. The people found favor in the sight of the Egyptians, and they plundered all that they wanted and needed.

You can trust God to do what is right and just. I don’t know who needs to hear this, but God can be trusted to be just and faithful.

The flight from Egypt wasn’t just an escape of slaves from their master, sneaking out in the middle of the night. No! It was a gallant movement of God’s almighty power and sovereignty. Scripture records that the Lord Himself stood guard until the armies of Israel left Egypt. Before Egypt and the whole world, God showed the world that they could not toy with what is His.

I don’t know where you need God to show up today. It might be in your life, the life of a spouse, a child, or somewhere else. God is able to bring you out of that pain. His arm of deliverance is not weak or short or even tired. Even now, He can still do a miracle.

It may be that He delivers you from the situation you are facing. It may also be that deliverance is His loving hand carrying you through the hard season or the ability to trust Him while you wait for answers or seeing Him work in a way that you never expected or in a timeframe that you never anticipated.

The flight from Egypt wasn’t a hidden affair. It wasn’t a failed attempt or pebble deliverance. It was precise, decisive, and complete with compensation. Let the story of the Israelites serve as an encouragement to you to not give up. Don’t look at that issue that has lingered and say it is over. It is only over when God says so. God always has the last word.

Your help is sure. Your deliverance from whatever has plagued you and kept you a prisoner is sure, whether it is this side of heaven or when you see Jesus face-to-face.

I encouraged you today to invite God into that situation. Ask Him to intervene and help you. He is a sure and faithful God.

So Father, together from all around the world, we praise and thank you for all that you are doing, all that you will do. We choose to truth you. Thank you, Jesus.
