Therefore thus says the Lord:
“Behold, I will plead your cause
and take vengeance for you.
I will dry up her sea
and make her fountain dry. – Jeremiah 51:36
Hosea and Jeremiah tell us today that the invasion of the Assyrians would be like a hot, dry wind from the desert. It would take all their treasures from them because Israel had rebelled against their God. Their rebellion would make them and their little ones fall by the sword because they didn´t want to return to God.
I think about God looking at Israel and asking Himself “what else should I have to do? What else needs to happen for these stubborn people to come back to me? Isn´t that enough?”
We blame God for all our problems and struggles, but actually, we are the ones to blame. When we see God as unjust or think He doesn´t care about us, we need to take a close look at our lives and consider whether we are living bearing God in mind or thinking only about our wellbeing.
Father, I´m sorry for blaming You when things in my life don´t go as I think they should. Help me become willing to take responsibility for my actions and look for Your direction and guidance. Amen.

Amen to that!! I am a little behind on this study but I want to make a statement before it end. I have really enjoyed this study. I think the fact that we have more verses is good for us all. More time in Gods word is something we all need. Angela your comments have been spot on!
