Joy is meant to be shared. I love it when I receive great news from a friend.
“Mr. Right popped the question, and the Lord is joining us together as man and wife.”
“I landed the job of my dreams, and God has opened the door for me to use my gifts in a wonderful place.”
“We thought we were forever infertile, but our Heavenly Father has planted two tiny babies in my womb.”
When God shows up and does something spectacular, we simply cannot stay silent. An answered prayer is like sunshine bursting through the clouds after a very stormy season of darkness.
John began his epistle by sharing joyous news. He could not keep his mouth closed because God had revealed Himself in a magnificent way. His hope was that we would know the Truth and join him in celebrating:
Hallelujah! From the beginning in eternity past, God had a plan in place to rescue us.
Jesus took on flesh and came to rescue us from sin. We are experiencing true life because of our Savior. Yes and Amen!
God the Father is actively present in our lives. All who have received Christ have an abiding, enduring friendship with God this world cannot take away. Thank you, Jesus!
My friends, we have reason to celebrate. We have Good News to share. We will never be the same.
We cannot stay silent because Jesus has come, and He has changed our lives forever.
As we begin our journey through John’s epistles, may our hearts overflow with the joy of the Lord. The enemy of our souls wants us to forget our Savior has conquered the grave and will one day dispel all the darkness in this fallen world, forever. Our adversary wants to fill us with doubt so we stay silent. Let’s resolve to testify of God’s goodness in our lives with every fiber of our being. Good News is meant to be shared.
John heard Jesus speak words of life with his own ears, saw His glory with his own eyes, and touched His resurrected body with his own hands. He knew Jesus was the real deal. He wanted everyone to experience the same joy planted deep in his heart.
Friend, has Jesus forever changed your destiny? Has His Word powerfully transformed who you are? Have you witnessed God answer your prayers and marveled at His wonder? You hold the word of life, and someone near you needs to hear.
If God has touched your life, don’t stay silent. Shout the gospel truth with all your heart: Salvation is here, and His name is Jesus.
Our joy is multiplied when we open up our mouths to share Christ.
Week 1 Challenge:
This week, practice confessing your sin as soon as it happens. Ask God to reveal your sin to you, and be faithful to confess it to Him and to others right away. Take note of how this affects your attitude and actions around sin and also your understanding and belief in God’s grace.

Thank you for the reminder where our joy comes from. The problems around us seem to cause us to lose our joy at times and cause fear and doubt. What a treasure that we have an eternal joy that lasts forever and never fades away! Jesus is our everlasting joy!
Yes, yes Debra! Jesus is our eternal joy and we choose to live in that joy no matter what happens around us. I hope you enjoy the study.
Joy has been something I’ve tried to focus on for awhile now! It’s funny how when I’ve Lost or misplaced my Joy that it’s still there if I focus on Him and how He brings Joy no matter what! Joy is the strength He gives in everything through Him ! ❤️
Angie, thank you so much for joining us! During this time we need all the joy we can get!
Hallelujah!!! He will continue to give you joy in Jesus name. Amen. Enjoy the study.
Amen Angie,

I love our challenge too!! Thank you for being with us on the blog today. May God bless you and all of us as we practice this challenge this week.
What a great reminder to share the good news! When I find a good deal or a good sale I always share it with others, and what A good deal we have in God’s word! Knowing Him and receiving His forgiveness is worth everything. His joy is contagious and causes me to want to share it, not only with my friends, but with the whole world! His joy gives us the strength to do exactly that.
What an absolutely, eternal good deal we have in Him. Love this! May continue to share that joy with others. Amen.
Robine, I love your analogy! Yes we always want to share when we find a good deal and yes God’s word is the best deal!! The joy of the Lord is our strength. God bless you sister, Thank you for being with us the blog today
Robine, Thank you so much for joining us! We appreciate you so much. Yes! We shout to the world when we find a sale or a steal of a deal…so why shouldn’t we be shouting to the world about our savior?!?
I loved how John pointed out that out joy in the Lord is Completed in the sharing of all that they learned of God, the Father, Son, & Spirit. That leads me to think that my joy can not be completed without the sharing of what God has taught me. And i can not have anything worth sharing unless I continually strive to know him, by reading & obeying his word. I cant have a complete joy or love of God without knowing & obeying his Word & sharing it with others. So, its a relief that he gives me all i need to accomplish the task. ?
Beautiful comment. I love this! I pray God helps us. Thanks for sharing with us.
Mrs. M,
I absolutely love this!! Such truth! Thank you for sharing this with us today! God bless you sister.
The “Word” has always existed from the very beginning. To have seen, heard and touched is just not comprehensive through my human understanding. To have a testimony from John’s account is hopeful in validating our position with Jesus. This is the joy that has to be communicated to others. Sharing this in every forum possible is essential to witnessing to self and others….this is joy to my soul
Hallelujah! Awesome to read this. Thanks for sharing with us. Please enjoy the study.
I have such JOY knowing and experiencing fellowship with God and Jesus + may it overflow for others to see my joy. ♥️
Amen and Amen!! Your joy does overflow! Thank you for sharing with us!! God bless you sister.
Why are there no introductions anymore?
