Friends,

Join us for our next four-week study in the book of Micah.

Just like in Micah’s day, we are surrounded by injustice and pain. We see it not only in our world but also in our own lives and it can be disheartening and overwhelming at times.

But we are not without hope.

This is what Micah is all about. He is not afraid to get in our face about some hard topics like sin, idolatry, judgment, grace and mercy.

Sin – Micah comes down hard on the people of God regarding injustice. He wants Israel and us to understand how destructive injustice is to our relationships with others and that it is an abomination in the eyes of God.

He also calls the people out regarding their idolatry. This is a sin we also struggle with today as well. When we love anything more than God it has become an idol and dishonors God.

Judgment – A holy God cannot let sin go unpunished and so a day of judgment is coming if the people of God don’t repent and turn from their evil ways. This is a hard word. It means that we also, need to turn from our sins and seek righteousness for God disciplines his children.

Grace and Mercy – Thankfully Micah does not end with the negative but points us to the hope that is found in God. A God who is rich in mercy and slow to anger. In God, we find hope for restoration, hope for overcoming, and hope for change.

Sooner or later, those who enter academic life are summoned to write an article in English. And soon comes the discovery that it is not enough to master the language, be specialized in the subject to produce a good text and use research paper services for students. It is essential to write in a style appropriate to the academy. The article is a genre that covers a lot. Each area has its specificities, its language and even the size of the text varies between them – argues the professor and coordinator of the program Languages without Borders.

So let’s study the book of Micah together and ask the Lord to help us to “do justice, love kindness and walk humbly with our God” (Micah 6:8).
