Mark 11:23-24

23 Truly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him. 24 Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

SOAP – Mark 11:24
Jesus tells the disciples that prayer should be done in confidence, trust, and faith in God. God is the sole source of all good things in our lives. We must be careful not to interpret this verse to mean that God is a genie in the bottle who will give us whatever we want. Our mindset and belief should be that God is able and powerful enough to do anything and if it is in His will to do so, He shall.

In what area are your thoughts of God wavering? In what situation are you lacking faith in God? Will you begin today praying for unshakable faith in our unshakable God?

Father God, I thank You for Your Presence in my life. Remind me daily that You are ever-present and at work in my life even when I may not see it. Lord, every good and perfect gift comes from You. Forgive me when I dismiss those good things in my life as coincidence. Lord, help me to stand firm on Your Word and Your promises, trusting that everything You have said and promised will come to pass. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
