I could tell you many stories about God’s miracles in my life. Big miracles, like when my sister got lost during a family vacation in Chile. We knelt in the sand and prayed, and soon a woman came to us, holding my sister’s hand.
I could tell you about one birthday, when I went out for a walk and, while I was praying, noticed that flowers were blooming everywhere: in the gardens, trees, and even on the sidewalk, in the middle of winter.
I could tell you about the time I was reading the Bible and didn’t understand a verse, and later found a perfect explanation in a book someone gave me that same day.
I could tell you about undeserved forgiveness, like the day I fought with my sister for a piece of bread and then received a letter from her saying how much she loved me.
I probably couldn’t tell you..
…how many times God spared my life when I was a rebellious teenager, how many sins were erased forever, and how many bad choices of mine were made right by His mercy and grace. I know you would love to read those stories, just like I would love to read your account of God’s miracles in your own life.
All those miracles are wonderful, but they are not my testimony about God. He would still be an awesome God even if He hadn’t done any of these things. I want to tell you about the miracle, the one thing God has done for me and you: He gave us Jesus Christ. This is what makes Him our God, Father, and Lord. The God who loved me so much that He gave His own Son so that I could believe in Him and go home—so that I would have a home! Because of Jesus, the miracle in my life, all other things became miracles. Because of Jesus, you and I became a miracle.
