Living under God’s calling and guidance is challenging, yet rewarding. It is clear to me that God, the Master Teacher, called me to serve Him through education. As a teacher, I have been privileged to meet so many wonderful people. I have been educating the next generation for seven years, all of those years away from my hometown and family.
Though I no longer live in my hometown in Indonesia, I long to share the gospel and minister to my people. Even though I have not been able to return home for good, I still desire to give back to the community there and am confident that, if it is God’s will, He will make it happen.
When I heard about Love God Greatly in 2020 from a friend, I was shocked to hear of their ministry to Indonesian people. With Bible studies in Indonesian already, along with a desire to grow into more Indonesian dialects (including my native language of Manadonese), I knew this was a God-ordained connection. I knew God had been at work to answer my prayer to minister to my native people.
My heart overflowed with joy as I accepted the invitation to be on the Manadonese language team. Although I found this opportunity through the work of Love God Greatly, I knew this invitation was from God. God met the desire of my heart to take part in the evangelization of the land where I grew to know Christ, despite living far away. I praise Him, the God who answers prayer. He knows me personally, even the unspoken desires I have deep in my heart. Living under God’s calling and guidance is challenging, yet rewarding. When God plants a desire in our hearts for His glory, He will do what He has intended to do and He will show us the way (Proverbs 3:6).

Thank you for the encouraging words reminding me that God knows my desires to grow more in my walk with Him so that I too can touch other peoples lives for His glory. I needed to be reminded of that.
