Ecclesiastes 11:1-4 11 Cast your bread upon the waters, For you will find it after many days. Give a serving to seven, and also to eight, For you do not know what evil will be on the earth. If the clouds are full of rain, They empty themselves upon the earth; And if a tree falls to the south or the north, In the place where the tree falls, there it shall lie. He who observes the wind will not sow, And he who regards the clouds will not reap.

SOAP – Ecclesiastes 11:4   Solomon encourages generosity and hard work. He encourages us to invest in acts of charity and share our blessings. He warns us not to simply watch the winds and clouds, but to remain busy doing what we have been called to do by God. As long as there are people who are lost without Christ, a believer always has purpose and work to be done. We can cultivate the practice of evangelism, prayer, Bible study, meditation, and service. There will always be someone who needs help, prayer, or encouragement. Our lives are to remain fulfilled and busy being God’s hands and feet while we are on earth.
