“May my accusers be humiliated and defeated. May those who want to harm me be covered with scorn and disgrace.“
Into the Text
In today’s reading, we witness a powerful moment of victory for the Jewish people. Against all odds, God delivered them from the hands of their enemies, those who sought to harm them. No one could stand against them because God was standing with them. Their enemies were put to shame, and the Jews experienced total victory.
What an encouraging reminder that God fights for His people! Just as He stood with the Jews in their time of need, He stands with us today. No matter what we face—whether it’s the opposition of others, difficult circumstances, or the internal battles of our hearts—we can rest in the truth that God is with us. He sees our pain, hears our cries, and will ultimately silence those who accuse us or seek to harm us.
Sweet friend, maybe you’re walking through a season where you feel like you’re fighting alone. Take heart. God is with you in every battle, and victory belongs to Him. We may not always see immediate deliverance, but we can trust that in His perfect time, He will bring justice and peace. Our role is to keep our eyes on Him, knowing that He will never leave us nor forsake us.
No matter what you’re facing today, remember this: you are not alone. God is standing with you, fighting for you, and His victory is already yours.
Prayer
Dear Jesus, thank you for the victory we have in you. Help me to rest in the truth that I don’t need to fear those who come against me because you fight for me. I place my hurts, worries, and battles in your hands, trusting in your timing and your justice. Thank you for always being with me. Amen.
