And he will send his angels with a loud trumpet blast, and they will gather his elect from the four winds from one end of heaven to the other.”

Into the Text
The first time Jesus came, it was quiet, humble, hidden in a manger, wrapped in cloth, and born into a world that wouldn’t make room for Him.
But the next time He comes? The whole world will see.
Jesus tells us in Matthew 24 that the Son of Man will return with power and great glory. No more waiting. The sky will open, and our Jesus will come as the conquering King.
The angels will go out. Those who have trusted in Jesus will be gathered. Heaven will rejoice. It will be the day we’ve been longing for, the day we finally see Jesus face to face.
Until that day, Jesus also reminds us to stay ready. No one knows the day or the hour, and His return will come like a thief in the night, unexpected and undeniable. So, how do we prepare?
We stay watchful, faithful, prayerful, and hopeful. We cling to His promises and keep our eyes fixed on the One who is coming again.
Sweet friend, the same Jesus who came near in the manger is coming again in glory. He hasn’t delayed without purpose.
Let’s live today with the kind of expectancy that comes from truly believing He could return at any moment – with joy in our hearts and lives fully surrendered to Him.
Prayer
Jesus, I long for the day when I will see you coming in glory. Help me to live ready and anchored in the hope that you are coming again. Use me to help others know about you. Amen.
