Busy can feel like the default pace of life.
There’s always something to do—someone who needs us, something urgent that can’t wait. And while much of it is good, the busyness can quietly push out what our souls need most: time with God.
But here’s the good news: God isn’t hiding. Proverbs 8 reminds us that God doesn’t play hard to get. “Those who seek me diligently will find me” (v. 17), He says. That promise holds true—whether we’re in a season of full calendars or quiet days. Proverbs 8 paints a picture of wisdom calling out in the streets, beckoning us to come close, to listen and live. When we seek wisdom in our lives, we are ultimately seeking God.
Seeking wisdom doesn’t happen by accident, though. It takes intention. In a world full of distractions, we need God’s wisdom to reorder our days—to choose time in His Word over scrolling, prayer over panicking, and trust over striving.
The truth is, when we seek Him first, everything else begins to fall into place. Time in God’s presence doesn’t slow us down—it strengthens us for what’s ahead. As Jesus reminds us in Matthew 6:33, when we seek God and His kingdom first, everything else is added in its proper place. When we begin our days with Him, He aligns our hearts with what truly matters.
You don’t need hours. You just need a willing heart and a few quiet moments to turn toward Him.
Choose a time in your day when you can read the Bible and pray undisturbed. Let His wisdom shape how you spend your time and what you say yes to.
Proverbs 8 reminds us that wisdom is found in seeking God—not just occasionally, but daily.
And here’s what I’ve learned, sweet friend: when we truly love God, we want to seek Him, not out of guilt but out of love. And the more we seek Him, the more we begin to know Him—and knowing Him changes everything.
