The one true God acts in a faithful manner; the Lord’s promise is reliable. He is a shield to all who take shelter in him.
Into the Text
I love the translation of this verse when it says, “God acts in a faithful manner.” Our God is a faithful God. What He promises, He fulfills. He is the ultimate Promise Keeper, and we can take Him at His Word.
Because of who He is, we can trust Him when the donations don’t come in, when the path forward seems unclear, and when the walls seem to be falling in on all sides. We have not been promised a life without storms and tribulations, but we have been promised that we do not weather the storms and trials alone.
When the winds of doubt, fear, and worry begin to overtake us, we can rest in the truth that our God acts in a faithful manner. Our God is faithful, He is our shield, and we can take refuge in Him. When we put our trust in the Lord, we can rest assured that He will never leave or forsake us. He is always with us, guiding us and protecting us.
In light of this truth, let us hold tight to our faith and trust in the Lord. He is our shield and our refuge. As we place our faith in Him, He will guide us through life’s challenges and give us the peace and strength we need to face every tomorrow.

Dear Lord Jesus, thank You for Your faithfulness to me. Thank you for keeping Your promises. Thank You for being trustworthy. You are my shield and my shelter from the storms and struggles that come my way. Thank You for being my safe place. Thank You for Your love and protection, now and forevermore. Amen.
