her clothing was strong and splendid;
and she laughed at the time to come.
She has opened her mouth with wisdom,
with loving instruction on her tongue.
Watching over the ways of her household,
she would not eat the bread of idleness.
Into the Text
Sweet sister,
You are not called to be the perfect wife, mom, daughter, or friend. What you are called to do is serve God faithfully with what He has given to you. Our homes don’t have to be the most beautiful or decorated in the latest trend or social media ready. What they should be are places of nurture and refuge regardless of their size or what they look like.
Our homes are more than just physical spaces; they’re sanctuaries where we have the opportunity to cultivate and cherish our families. It’s in the meals we cook, the laughter we share, and the comfort we provide. It’s in the bedtime stories, the morning cuddles, and even in the way we organize and care for our homes.
Every act of service, every word of encouragement, and every moment of togetherness builds into the lives of those in your home. How you love them matters. It’s not about having a spotless house or gourmet meals every night. It’s about creating an atmosphere of love, grace, and warmth. It’s creating a place where they let their guards down and feel at home.
With wisdom and kindness on your tongue, you’re not just managing a household or “holding down the fort.” You’re nurturing souls, shaping hearts, and making memories that will last a lifetime. This is what radiates your strength and dignity.
So today, as you go about your tasks, know that each one is an opportunity to love the precious ones God has placed in your capable hands.
Prayer
Dear Jesus, thank You for the blessing of my home and family. Help me to nurture them with love, wisdom, and strength. May my home be a haven of Your love, a place where my family feels cherished and seen. Amen.
