For by grace you are saved through faith, and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God; it is not from works, so that no one can boast.

Ephesians 2:8-9

Into the Text

Sweet sister,

In a world that often measures a person’s worth by intelligence, success, and achievements, we must teach our children that their worth is not in what they can do but rather in who they belong to. Our worth isn’t defined by worldly standards but by the grace of God. It’s not in the ‘doing’ but rather in the ‘being’ – being children of God, saved by grace through faith alone.

As moms, we need to model a life that values faith, faithfulness, and obedience above grades, sports, awards, or religious activities. We need to show our children that success in God’s eyes isn’t about accolades or achievements, but about surrendering our lives to Jesus and living on mission. By keeping eternity in our sight, we can instill in them the hope and assurance that whatever happens in this life, our real home and ultimate joy are in Christ. The gospel informs everything that we think, say, and do. We live for an audience of One.

So in our gospel-centered homes, let every action, conversation, and decision point back to this truth: we are saved by faith, we live by faith, and we receive the endless grace of God by that same faith.

Prayer

Dear Jesus, help me cultivate a home where Your gospel is the cornerstone. Help me teach my children the beauty of Your grace and the joy of living a life focused on You. May our home be a reflection of Your love and a place where faith flourishes. Amen.
