And let us take thought of how to spur one another on to love and good works, not abandoning our own meetings, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging each other, and even more so because you see the day drawing near.

Hebrews 10:24-25

Into the Text

Sweet sister,

We are called to be an encouragement to our children. Just as Hebrews tells us to spur one another on towards love and good deeds, we have the privilege to uplift, inspire, and motivate our children to love God greatly with their lives.

Think of encouragement as the sunlight to a plant, vital for growth and flourishing. It’s the words of affirmation after a hard day, the gentle push when they are hesitant, and the cheerleader’s chant in their moments of triumph. In every praise, every supportive word, and even in our presence, we communicate to our children, “I believe in you. I see your efforts, and you are deeply loved.”

Let’s make our homes places where encouragement flows freely, where each child feels the strength of our support and the depth of our love. Our words and actions can be a powerful force, helping them to grow in confidence, resilience, and faith.

When we nurture their spirits with encouragement, we mirror the heart of our Heavenly Father, who is our greatest supporter and encourager. As we guide and uplift our children, we, too, are spurred on by His love and grace in our own lives.

Prayer

Dear Jesus, thank You for the gift of my children. Help me to be a source of constant encouragement to them. Give me the words and actions to uplift their spirits, to guide them in Your love, and to support them in every step of their journey. Amen.
