“Do not be anxious about anything. Instead, in every situation, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, tell your requests to God.“
Into the Text
Esther faced a moment of incredible courage and faith as she stood before the king, risking her life for her people. But her confidence didn’t come from her own strength. She had prepared her heart through prayer and fasting, placing her trust in God. She knew that her role was simply to obey and that the outcome rested in God’s capable hands.
We can learn so much from Esther’s example. When we face situations that cause anxiety or uncertainty, we can bring our needs to God, just as Esther did. Philippians 4:6 reminds us that we don’t have to be anxious because we have a God who listens. Through prayer, we can lay our concerns at His feet, trusting He will provide exactly what we need in His perfect timing.
The key is knowing that our confidence doesn’t come from our ability to control the situation but from God’s faithfulness. He knows what we need before we even ask, and He is always at work, even in the moments when we can’t see it. When we trust God with our worries, we can find peace that surpasses understanding, knowing that our lives are in the hands of a God who loves us more than we can imagine.
Sweet friend, is there something causing you anxiety today? Take it to God in prayer. Trust that He hears you, and let His peace replace your anxious thoughts. He is faithful, and He will never fail you.
Prayer
Dear Jesus, thank you that you hear my prayers and know my needs even before I speak them. Help me to release my anxious thoughts to you and trust that you are working for my good. Fill my heart with peace as I rest in your unfailing love and constant presence. Thank you for being with me every step of the way. Amen.
