For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor heavenly rulers, nor things that are present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in creation will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Nothing can separate you from the love of God.
Not your worst day. Not your biggest failure. Not the relationship that fell apart, the prayer that still hasn’t been answered, the diagnosis that came out of nowhere, or the season of life that has left you feeling forgotten and worn thin. Not death, not life, not angels, not demons, not the present, not the future. Nothing.
Paul writes this not as a hopeful wish but as a settled, certain, and immovable truth. God works all things together for the good of those who love Him. Nothing can come against us when God is for us. And now Paul closes with this declaration. The love of God in Christ Jesus is yours, and it cannot be taken from you.
This is the foundation of everything we have studied this week. Mary’s love for Jesus was a response to this love. The love described in 1 Corinthians 13 is only possible because of this love. We love because He first loved us. But make no mistake. The love God has for us is fierce, relentless, unending, and completely secure.
You are not loved by God because of what you do. You are loved because of who He is. And that kind of love, the kind that has nothing to do with your performance and everything to do with His character, is the only kind that truly transforms you from the inside out.
Mary knew it. Paul declared it. And now, sweet sister, it is yours to carry with you into everything the Lord has placed before you. You are loved with a love that cannot be undone. Go and love others the same way.
That is the fruit of the Spirit, and it all starts with love.
