Proverbs 24:3-6   3 By wisdom a house is built, and by understanding it is established; 4 by knowledge the rooms are filled with all precious and pleasant riches. 5 A wise man is full of strength, and a man of knowledge enhances his might,6 for by wise guidance you can wage your war, and in abundance of counselors there is victory.

 SOAP – Proverbs 24:3-4

The fear of God is foundational to true wisdom. Wisdom is seeing life from God’s perspective and striving to live like Jesus. While there are many types of earthly knowledge, it is all worthless unless built upon the knowledge of the Lord Himself. Only God’s wisdom will stand throughout eternity.

In what areas of your life are you prone to wander and stray from God’s wisdom?  Does the wisdom that you share and live by reflect more of God or more of this world?

Father God, I thank You for biblical wisdom, knowledge, and understanding. Overflow in me the hunger and thirst to crave your wisdom. Surround me with wise godly friends and mentors who are committed to give me truth with grace. Help me to stand against the wisdom of this world, temptations, and my own self-seeking desires so that I will continually follow You and reflect you to a lost world. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
