Proverbs 11:23-28  23 The desire of the righteous ends only in good, the expectation of the wicked in wrath. 24 One gives freely, yet grows all the richer; another withholds what he should give, and only suffers want. 25 Whoever brings blessing will be enriched, and one who waters will himself be watered. 26 The people curse him who holds back grain, but a blessing is on the head of him who sells it. 27 Whoever diligently seeks good seeks favor, but evil comes to him who searches for it. 28 Whoever trusts in his riches will fall, but the righteous will flourish like a green leaf.

 SOAP – Proverbs 11:25

Believers are encouraged to give generously and cheerfully, because we will be blessed richly by God. We need not fear that our giving will be missed or forgotten by God, even when it is forgotten by the recipient. Believers never lose by being a blessing to someone in need.

Who in your sphere of influence is God calling you to bless?  Cheerful giving reflects God’s grace in your heart and draws you closer to Him. When we reflect on all of the blessings that God has given us, our response should be to bless others.

Father God, I thank You for all of the people You have sent into my life to bless me and my family. Lord, help me be a blessing to others. Bring people into my life who need my spiritual gifts, my time, my talents, and my treasure. Help me to become less suspicious and more generous to those in need. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
