Proverbs 11:18-20  18 The wicked earns deceptive wages, but one who sows righteousness gets a sure reward. 19 Whoever is steadfast in righteousness will live, but he who pursues evil will die. 20 Those of crooked heart are an abomination to the Lord,  but those of blameless ways are his delight.

Proverbs 20:17   Bread gained by deceit is sweet to a man, but afterward his mouth will be full of gravel.

Believers should seek to be honest and honorable in business. Our priority should be seeking righteousness, not seeking riches. We should work in such a way that no shame will be brought on the name of Christ. When God is in the center of our lives, we will reflect Him well whether we are at work or at home.

How do you reflect godly principles in your business dealings and while at work? Believers should seek to remain righteous and honorable, because all work is done for God’s pleasure and for His glory.

Father God, I thank You for the blessing of employment.  Lord, prevent me from taking my work for granted. Help me to see work as an opportunity to share Your goodness and kindness with all I encounter. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

  1. Corporate women are encouraged to lean in, be aggressive, and claw our way to the top because we have to fight for equal opportunity and pay. Thank you for the reminder that having a soft and compassionate heart that exudes honesty is best. If we work according to your plan, we will receive your riches. Remind me Lord to trust in you, shine for you, and walk in your wisdom each day at work.
