Tuesday – You Can’t Change

Read: Hebrews 13:20-21; Philippians 4:13
SOAP: Hebrews 13:20-21

20 Now may the God of peace who brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great shepherd of the sheep, by the blood of the eternal covenant, 21 equip you with everything good that you may do his will, working in us[a] that which is pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.- Hebrews 13:20-21

Sometimes we experience a that grasps hold of us and we can’t seem to shake.  We begin to believe the lie that we cannot change.  We will always be a victim.  We will always struggle with the addiction.  Yet, God’s Word powerfully refutes these lies.

Through Christ, we are a new creation.  He is our Great Shepherd. As our Shepherd, He helps move us in the direction He wants us to go.  In Him we have the strength to move past any obstacle that keeps us from thriving in our walk with the Lord.

What hurt, habit, or hurdle have you told yourself you could not change in your life?  Take some time today to reflect on how with Christ’s help, you can conquer whatever it is you face.

Father God, thank You for the truth of Your Word.  Thank You that I can come to You with my struggles. elp me to keep Your Truth in my mind when I doubt that I can change.  Thank You for the power of Christ in my life.  In Jesus’ name, Amen.
