Day 2

Led to Repentance

SOAP: Romans 3:23-24

for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. But they are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.

Repentance brings freedom. It softens our hearts toward God and acknowledges we have done wrong. The Lord acknowledges sincere repentance, and He forgives. He never holds old sins against us. Our sin has been fully covered through the blood of Jesus.

Despite David’s sin, he saw the heinousness of what he had done, and he was grieved by it. If David can be forgiven and restored so can each one of us. No matter how big our sin, we can repent and ask the Lord to help us overcome our sins and temptations. We will never be perfect in this life, but we can grow in godliness, be restored after big failures, and live a life glorifying to God.

We have all fallen short of the standard to which He has called us. But that is exactly why He sent His Son, Jesus Christ. We could never measure up to the glory of God. We are given salvation as a free gift from God through the redemption we have in Christ. He alone has done it! When we repent and seek His forgiveness, we willingly accept His free gift of grace and salvation.

Lord, my sins are many, but Your grace is greater. Your forgiveness covers everything. Help me to see the gravity of my sin and help me to repent. Make me more into Your likeness so I can better glorify Your name. Amen.
