Tuesday – Be Strong & Courageous

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9
Joshua has received a God-sized assignment. Moses is dead, and now Joshua will lead the people into the Promised Land. The fruit of the land is ripe for the picking, but first he must set aside fear and follow God’s leading. He must not focus on the giants in the land, but on the goodness of His great God.
Has God called you to do great things? Maybe you are wondering if you have what it takes. Take your focus off the “what ifs” and ask God to fill you with His courage and strength. If God has appointed you to move forward, He will provide whatever you need to accomplish your God-sized assignment.
Almighty God give me great courage to step forward and do Your will. I don’t want to wallow in fear and miss out on the extraordinary work You want to accomplish in me and through me. I want to taste the sweet fruit You have promised and let go of fear. Amen.
