Isaiah 61:10-11 10 I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, My soul shall be joyful in my God;
For He has clothed me with the garments of salvation, He has covered me with the robe of righteousness, As a bridegroom decks himself with ornaments, And as a bride adorns herself with her jewels. 11 For as the earth brings forth its bud, As the garden causes the things that are sown in it to spring forth, So the Lord God will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations.
SOAP – Isaiah 61:10
Christians have God’s reassurance and His promise that when He looks upon His flawed imperfect people, He only sees the righteousness and perfection of Christ. We can stand boldly before Him without shame, fear, guilt, or condemnation. Jesus Christ has substituted our sin and shame for His righteousness. We can rejoice and praise God for our transformation through Jesus Christ.
What past sins or shame are you condemned by that God has already forgiven and forgotten? Let go. Choose to believe what the Creator of the heavens and the earth says about you. Walk confidently in your salvation and the righteousness that Jesus has graciously provided.
Father God, I thank You for making the ultimate sacrifice for me. Help me to rest in my salvation. Help me to see myself the way You see me. Help me to walk in Christ’s perfect righteousness. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
