Proverbs 16:13 Righteous lips are the delight of a king, and he loves him who speaks what is right.
The characteristics of a good leader include truthfulness and honesty. Not only does one speak the truth, but he or she values truth being spoken to them as well. How much do we value honesty? For some, it is easier to speak the truth than to listen to it. Others don’t have a problem hearing truth but struggle with speaking truth to others. We need to be a people who live truth in all of its forms.
Dear God,
May we be a people who love truth in all its forms. May we lovingly speak it as well as receive it. Amen.
