7 “Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord,
whose trust is the Lord.
8 He is like a tree planted by water,
that sends out its roots by the stream,
and does not fear when heat comes,
for its leaves remain green,
and is not anxious in the year of drought,
for it does not cease to bear fruit.”

SOAP: Jeremiah 17:7-8
A life of faith is firmly rooted in God and cannot be shaken by the storms of life. When difficult times come, we do not need to fear because God will replenish us with His strength. Even in a season of barrenness, our lives will bear fruit.
Trying to live on our own strength creates a desert wasteland. If we rest on our own self-sufficiency, we will be constantly tossed to and fro by the ever-changing winds in this crazy world. Apart from God there is no peace. A vibrant life is found only in abiding in Christ. Is your heart well-watered by the Word? Is your life bearing fruit? Let’s choose to plant our faith deeply in the river of Life.
Father, thank You for fertilizing our lives with Your strength. Help us to blossom and bear fruit that pleases You today. Amen.
