His Steadfast Love Endures Forever
A Psalm for giving thanks.
100 Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth!
2 Serve the Lord with gladness!
Come into his presence with singing!
3 Know that the Lord, he is God!
It is he who made us, and we are his;
we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.
4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving,
and his courts with praise!
Give thanks to him; bless his name!
5 For the Lord is good;
his steadfast love endures forever,
and his faithfulness to all generations.

SOAP: Psalm 100:3
The psalmist encourages us to celebrate the privilege of drawing close to our Shepherd. As His sheep, we have the blessings of His constant presence, abundant provision, and secure protection. Our hearts should well up with thanksgiving as we think about how much God has done for us. Today, we can draw near to Him and drink from His fountain of mercy. What a gift!
Every day, we must choose to follow closely and listen attentively to His voice. On our own, we are easy prey for the enemy. Step into the safe pasture that God has provided for His children and don’t wander off on your own. The safest place on earth is close to Him. Complete joy comes from worshipping your Shepherd and surrendering to His ways. How are you drawing near to Him today? How will you choose a live a life of gratitude that honors Him?
Lord, thank You for surrounding us with Your care and providing everything we need for today. Help us to follow closely after You all the days of our lives. Amen.
