Week 4 Day 5
Friday – Brave to walk forward in faith
READ:, Hebrews 11:1; 2 Corinthians 4:18; Mark 9:14-24
SOAP: Mark 9:24
“The father instantly cried out, ‘I do believe, but help me overcome my unbelief!’” – Mark 9:24
Just before the father cried out for help in this verse, Jesus told him “Anything is possible if a person believes.” What was true for that man on that day is true for us now, today: Anything is possible if a person believes. When we cry out to Jesus for help, our cries should come from a place of expectancy, hope, and faith that He will answer us. Whether we’re crying out for healing, direction, protection, wisdom, rest, provision, or anything else, we must do it in faith. And if not, our cry should be like this man’s – humbly pleading for help to overcome our unbelief. Because, friend, Jesus’ promise is that anything is possible if a person believes. So we can be brave to believe. We can be brave to walk forward in faith.
Heavenly Father, thank You for hearing my cries. God, help me overcome my unbelief. Give me faith to trust You more, and to have a brave faith in You. Amen.
