How delightful it is to see approaching over the mountains, the feet of a messenger who announces peace, a messenger who brings good news, who announces deliverance, who says to Zion, “Your God reigns!”
Into the Text
There has never been a better time than now for God to raise up a generation of women who are passionate about walking forward into their communities and spheres of influence with the gospel of peace.
As we read Isaiah 52:7, we see a powerful reminder of the Good News that we have been given to share with the world: “How delightful it is to see approaching over the mountains, the feet of a messenger who announces peace, a messenger who brings good news, who announces deliverance, who says to Zion, ‘Your God reigns!’”
Now is the time to help others see that there is more to this world than what we can physically see. God has called each of us to be a messenger of His love and grace to those around us.
By nature, we are not at peace with God, but are enemies to Him, living in rebellious pride. Our responsibility is to share the gospel of peace, telling people that they can turn to God and come to Jesus for forgiveness. Whether through our words, actions, or simply the way we live our lives, we have the privilege and responsibility to share the Good News of salvation and the peace that only God provides.
The Good News of salvation is not just for us: it is for everyone. We have been given the privilege of sharing it with the world. Let us take courage, lift up our heads, and go forth with joy, knowing that our feet are beautiful because they carry the Good News of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Prayer
Dear Lord Jesus, thank You for giving me this mission. Help me walk confidently in Your power and tell others about the life changing peace that they can find only in You. Place people in my life who need to know You. Amen.
