 Read: 1 Thessalonians 4:9-12

SOAP: 1 Thessalonians 4:11-12 “Aspire to live quietly, and to mind your own affairs, and to work with your hands, as we instructed you, so that you may walk properly before outsiders and be dependent on no one.”

Paul continues his practical exhortation to the Thessalonians regarding how to walk pleasing to God. He encourages them to do three things: to cultivate greater love for one another, to live quietly and mind their own business, and to provide their own income through hard work. Paul challenges us to continue to grow our faith by taking action, rather than thinking we’ve “arrived.”

Is your faith growing stagnant? If you aren’t increasing in your love for others, you may have heart work to do this week. This message is not for someone else you think is struggling – remember to mind your own business and stay in your own lane. Ask God to give you a diligent heart that pursues Him wholeheartedly.

Lord, help me stay in my lane this week and love like Jesus. Amen
