Tuesday
Read: 1 Thessalonians 3:6-13
SOAP: 1 Thessalonians 3:11-13 “Now may our God and Father himself, and our Lord Jesus, direct our way to you, and may the Lord make you increase and abound in love for one another and for all, as we do for you, so that he may establish your hearts blameless in holiness before our God and Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus with all his saints.”
Timothy’s report that the church at Thessalonica continued to thrive brought joyful thanksgiving to Paul. He had invested many hours in praying for the growth and well-being of these new believers. The cry of Paul’s heart was for these disciples to establish their hearts in a pure faith that was evidenced by their love for one another.
If you were on trial for being a Christian today, would your love for others stand as proof of your faith? Linking arms with others as we follow after Christ builds up our faith. Just as Paul was encouraged by the choices of these disciples in Thessalonica, you can shower a sister in Christ with love and help her stand stronger in her faith.
Lord God, I want to stand strong in my faith. Establish my heart and help me to love more like Jesus every day. Amen.
