There was a time in my life that my heart was empty and seeking love and acceptance, but never found it. I was so lost.
I was raised in a family and community that girls and women don’t have the right to express themselves. Girls have to obey the rules, otherwise, they will be punished, So all that time I tried hard to have others’ approval but never succeed. I hated myself, I hated my life. That’s why I tried to take my life three times, but thanks to God I didn’t succeed.
When I went to study at the university, my brother introduced me to a Christian group that led me to meet Jesus.
In February 1983, I accepted Jesus Christ as my Savior and my Lord, since then my heart and life have changed. My heart filled with His love and my life has meaning now. Jesus accepted me as I am. He holds my hands and step by step He changed me, now I know my value in Him.
Through my journey with Jesus, I have failed a lot. I even walked away from Him many times, but He never let go. He kept faithful to me even when I was not.
He is good all the time.
When I came to USA I was praying to God to give me a chance to serve Him because it’s hard for me to interact with others easily being new to this country. But God knew my heart and heard my prayers. One day soon after, my friend told me about LGG and said they needed someone to translate into Arabic! I knew that God had answered my prayers! At first, I was scared that I am not able to do it and that I am not good enough, but God told me through His Word that it is not my work, it is His and His power is revealed through our weakens. I am thankful I can serve my Lord in this way and help women from Arabic speaking countries learn about God!

Anyone doubting God-you shouldn’t. He is almighty and has done many great miracles for me. Although if you are reading this please pray for me. I feel that I need to become closer to God. And as a reminder-God’s not dead.
