A prayer for my hurting friend…

Look on my affliction and deliver me,

God, I know you see her. Today, would you remind her that you’ve not forgotten her? Your Word says that you are near to the brokenhearted, and that you will never leave her or forsake her. Father, help her to have confidence in your deliverance even when it seems so very far away or looks different than what she had in mind…

for I do not forget your law.

Lord, help her to cling to your Word even when she doesn’t understand. Bring your promises to her mind and replace any destructive thoughts with your truth. Turn her eyes to your statutes and remind her that your ways are good, even if her emotions or circumstances try to convince her otherwise. Especially on days when trials cloud her thinking, help her to not forget your law…

Plead my cause and redeem me;

Who better to plead her cause than you, Lord? I praise you that you are Redeemer and Savior; that nothing is too hard for you or beyond your grasp. Jesus, thank you for interceding on her behalf and for providing a way out. You are the only way. Jesus, please make a way for my friend…

give me life according to your promise!

Quicken her in her spirit, Father. Fill her deepest longings until she overflows with a joy that can only be found in you. Awaken what is dead in her, heal what is broken in her, and bring new life to her situation. Jesus, thank you that your promises have stood the test of time, and that your faithfulness endures to all generations…

Salvation is far from the wicked,

God, there is no salvation apart from you. I plead for you to make yourself known to those who are living in darkness. Help them to see their need for a Savior and to turn from their wicked ways. Father, shine your light and send your Spirit to convict hearts and bring repentance. Thank you that you are a God who restores and offers new beginnings by your grace. Thank you for pursuing the lost long after we have given up hope…

for they do not seek your statutes.

Lord, when others turn their backs on you, help my friend to stand strong in her commitment to you. When her enemies seek personal gain at her expense, help her to find her worth and security in you. When jealousy overcomes them and when idols consume them, God help her to follow hard after you – for in you alone is lasting peace and freedom found.

Great is your mercy, O Lord;

Father God, thank you that even in the struggle your mercy reigns. Remind my friend that even the darkness is not dark to you, that you are gracious and good, and that no detail escapes your control. Give her strength to utter words of praise even in the waiting. Act on her behalf for her good and your glory, because that’s what your mercy does best…

give me life according to your rules.

Jesus, breathe life into her dry bones. Breathe life so that she can make a fresh start in your redeeming love. Breathe life to sustain her when her world crumbles all around her. Breathe life, bringing constant reminders of the greatness of who you are. Make your Word come alive once more so that she runs to your promises with hope in the midst of her suffering.

        Psalm 37:4 – Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart.

        I, too, have this same desire, my friend! And, as I read your prayer, I remembered this verse, which is a great memory verse. I pray for both of us to remember that our Lord will always come first in our daily lives, challenging or not. When our priorities are straight, keeping Him first, everything else falls into place. Peace to you all the rest of your life!

        Yes GOD keep your hands on me,strengthen my Christensen spirit coming back over @ over I’m special you have chosen me I’m yet to a achieve the things I really need to do in life for myself my grandbabies and my children illusory I pray that I can always feel later and help others in life and I would love to be a guidance counselor counselor it has been fused who sings my soul and a good role model and them to have somebody help you please Lord Jesus help me every person I am today I’m 52 years old and I’m lonely my ex-husband is in prison for life are enlarged and go to school game you can play for kids High School theater it’s never too late I don’t feel secure in my heart and I know you have a lot lot more to do in life in Jesus name amen

        AMEN and Amen. I have a friend who has a non curable illness by doctors and a darkness has entered into his thinking. He has withdrawn from most people and turned loved ones away. I fear greatly that he will take his own life so as not to deal with it. GOD is his answer, may he find him now and feel his loving hands heal him, if that is your will father. You are our comfort and our strength, thank you for hearing me father. Amen

      My daughter is having a hard life. Her exhusband and his new wife have been making it hard for her. She has 5 children and today I know she feels as if her world has ended. She goes and takes the children to church. But today im affraid she make think God has not heard her crys. Everything cost so much and we dont have the money to help with the lawyers.       I did a Google search for something to read that would encourage my dear friend who is emotionally hurting. Several websites came up but then I saw this one. Even though years have passed since Whitney posted this, it still resonates so clearly the love and faithfulness if God in 2021. Love God Greatly has hit the mark once more and encouraged this woman after God’s own heart. I pray it does the same for my friend.

    Amen. We have lost a dear friend to cancer a week and a half ago. I am praying this prayer for her husband of 20 years, for her 5 boys (ages 4-14) and for her parents, family, and friends. She has left a beautiful legacy, but also many hurting, broken hearts.

    God bless you for your prayer this morning. I just finished Chemo and another mass was found. I had a biopsy on Monday and I am going in a couple of hours to find out if it is the cancer growing. I Know I am in the Lord’s hands no matter what but we are praying for a good outcome. “Consider my affliction and deliver me.”

Father Cancer is but a name and You said every name shall bow to the name of Jesus..we speak to any cancer in her body and command it to dry up and leave in Jesus name. No weapon of sickness formed against Kathy will prosper she shall rise above this affliction because Your word is fueling her with abundant life. Father thank you that her treatments have fulfilled their intended purpose and nothing more and nothing less. I’m praising You now for good reports this day for Kathy and we are expecting her to be whole spirit, soul and body. Father right now minister peace to her heart as she casts her cares upon you. In this affliction Lord Your word is giving her life. You know her heart Lord so manifest Your love today so that she may know You are with her. Meet her in this moment and bring deliverance. She has been redeemed from the curse of the law. So we forbid any cancer to remain in her body. Every disease, germ and every virus that touches her body must die instantly in the name of Jesus.         Shelia, I come in agreement with you for Kathy’s healing. Your prayer is beautiful and powerful. May I also pray these same words for my daughter in law Laura who has been battling cancer for a year and three months. She has went thru three different chemo treatments and is now facing radiation and then a stem cell transplant. She is only 27 and has a two year old son. Please pray for my son also who loves her more than life and has been a rock for her thru all of this.

      AMEN and Amen. I have a loved one who needs prayer desperately. He was told he has a terminal illness by a doctor and has now turned away and withdrawn from friends and loved ones. I am afraid a darkness has started gathering in him and he plans on leaving this world sooner than he should as he does not want to go through any of this illness. He needs Gods loving and healing touch throughout his life. If it be Gods will let him know healing and let him know your grace, mercies and love, In Jesus mighty name I ask, Amen

I was overwhelmed by my financial situation, my oldest daughter has kidney disease and just saw yesterday that Detroit has an idol they are displaying to the public. OMG, I was just reminded that our God is in control of all our circumstances and his promises are true!       Danielle my daughter/niece has been delivered from the snatches of satens web from drugs for over a year now.First go read Mathew chapter 15. Read and believe CLING to it .God PROMISES He sent Jesus to give us life light in the darkness.I pray now lifting Danielle and her cousin Cassey up.I ask plead for satan to be bound from Cassey .Back off satan I rebuke you in the name of Jesus Christ.Amen.It is a long hard road and be prepared to be on your knees daily sometimes several times a day Danielle .I have had the privilege of laying the mess of my family members life at Father God’s feet and watching something beautiful come out of it as only he can.     Amen. I needed this today. I am beginning to stress over my financial and employment situation. I am handicapped and not able to teach in a classroom at this time. So, last school year I began homeschooling 2 students privately for their parents. One was a senior and successfully graduated and the other is going to try public middle school in a new district this year. I have had several interest in my services, but no confirmations. The school year is approaching quickly and I am looking for some answers from God. I know He has something for me, however, it is sometimes difficult when there is no income coming in. My God is faithful! Once again, thank you for sharing today and I would appreciate your prayers.

    Praise the Lord for answered prayers! My doctors have told me my kind of cancer is not “curable” but today I received good news. I had just finished chemo and a month later (the beginning of this month) I was told a mass was found and it was recurrence of cancer, all the biopsy reports came today and there was no cancer in the mass or surrounding tissue. I was amazed when I got on this LGG post this morning before we left for the doctor appointment and read Whitney’s prayer! It was for me and all of you! So blessed by God! So blessed by all of you and your prayer! Thank you Jesus!

    Thanks for this! It is very fitting, one of my best friends had surgery yesterday to remove a tumor from her brain and they were unable to remove it because it was so ingrained in her brain, she is 29 years old. Another friend (39 y/o) had a massive stroke two days ago and is fighting for her life with many complications. My email didn’t come this morning either, it came this evening. God Bless.

    amen. and thank you. my husband of 27 yrs has stage 4 lung cancer. it has spread to liver, bone and brain. and i don’t think he loves me anymore either. i hurt and grieve both of these things at the same time. what was and wasn’t and may never be. wanting to walk this out with agape to the end somehow anyway and for God to forgive me when i fail to. god bless all. come lord jesus,amen.

    I have. Even praying the prayer for a friend that is hurting, for my daughter. She is 25 years old with three small children. She lost her husband tragically in a car accident. She didn’t think she would survive 5 min without him, it’s been 30 days, and I know that God is sustaining her and loving her. Thank you for this prayer. I love praying it for her.

    I pray that my friend Hope sees light in you jesus and help protect and keep her from astraying. I pray that my friend Phoebe can always come under your loving embrace whenever and wherever.

    I pray for my beloved friend david that god can let him know he is always loved and protected in christ. Only you can protect and guide him and mend our relationship and god I pray that you can counsel the both of us how to truly treat each other as friends in christ. So that one day, and hopefully soon, we can enjoy each other’s presence anew.

    I am unsure if i am even able to reach to my dear friend so I trust in you lord for you are my only hope. Help me surrender him onto you lord as you are the only one who can guide to a wonderful future like you will do for me and my other friends.

    Teach me to love others like how I now treasure my parents and love them alongside my dear friends Phoebe and Hope.

    And when the time comes when david and I are talking to one another again, give us the strength to obey and trust god while renewing in our new relationship and help us refrain from astraying into our old selves.

    With many tears and heartache from the past few nights, I pray in jesus name.

    Amen! Can I ask for prayers, my friend’s sister has been in a coma for almost two weeks now and it’s not looking good. Her family could really use the prayers, as this is a difficult time for them, no matter happens I know God is with them and will not let this family suffer. He has a plan for this family, even if we can’t see it right now. God bless you!
