I remember reading this passage when I was in high school and it terrifying me.
“But the day of the Lord will come like a thief…”- 2 Peter 3:10
I don’t know about you, but I’m not fond of surprises…
I like knowing what to expect…the time of the event, the date…you know, the exact details.
Yet, here we see Jesus promise He will come back and when He does it will be sudden and without warning…but no exact details are listed.
Though, we are not given a day and time…we do know as each day passes, we are one day closer to His final return.
For this reason, I earnestly pray and fast for my family and friends who are not saved.
Taking this truth to heart, how are we to live our lives? Peter tells us in verse eleven and twelve…
“You ought to live holy and godly lives as you look forward to the day of God and speed it’s coming..” 2 Peter 3:11-12
1. We should live holy and godly lives…
“Christians should be different, not odd. When you are different, you attract people; when you are odd, you repel them.”- Warren Wiersbe
We are called to live “holy” lives…lives that are set apart for God.
We are called to live “godly” lives…lives devoted to pleasing God out of our love for Him. Lives that desire to love God with all our mind, heart and soul. Every area of our life is focused on seeing the world through His eyes and loving out of the overflow of His heart.
2. We should look forward to Christ’s second coming…
Realizing Christ is returning should make us invest our precious days in what truly matters….God and others.
Everything else….all the possessions we have worked so hard for will be destroyed, only what is eternal will last.
That’s why we need to run our race well now.
That’s why we need to stay focused on what is truly important in this life and not get sidetracked by “things” that won’t go with us into eternity.
We need to be earnestly watching and working toward our Beloved’s return…thanking Him for His patience as He waits for our dear friends and family to repent and turn to Him.
3. We should be active in praying for His second coming…
“…and speed it’s coming.” 2 Peter 3:12
In the Lord’s Prayer, Jesus taught us to pray, “Thy Kingdom come…” we are invited to pray and participate in the ushering of Christ’s return.
“If God’s work today is calling out a people for His name (Acts 15:14), then the sooner the church is completed, the sooner our Lord will return.”- Warren Wiersbe
Ohhh friends, what an amazing future we have to look forward to. Let’s not waste our lives on the temporal…let’s invest our days wisely, pouring our lives into others, sharing Christ and putting our faith into action.
A world is watching and we don’t have much time…what if THIS is the generation when Christ returns?

It can just simply be “friend” or “loved one”….then let’s earnestly pray over the friends and family members listed. Let’s join together and pray that God will move powerfully in these dear friends and family members lives and they too will receive God’s free gift of salvation!

I’ve recently found out though intuition and past memories that my grandparents don’t really have a strong belief and faith in God. I was saddened after my grandmother posted a comment on my Bible Verse post on social media saying “I disagree” and she’s also agnostic too or maybe Atheist.
I just need some prayers for them for they are in their mid – late 70’s. I really and lovingly want them to be saved through Jesus Christ. I’ve recently been given and accepting of God’s calling for my life as a Preacher and Disciple of Jesus Christ. I post on YouTube by the grace of the Holy Spirit.
The day Of Jesus Christ’s Second Coming is soon so I want them to be happy knowing after death is a peaceful place, Heaven, and a Loving Heavenly Father, God who sent his son Jesus to die for our sins through his forgiveness & Love. ✝️?❤️❤️

My daughter who is 23. She is seriously railing and rebelling against God right now. It doesn’t help that she is in constant contact with my sister who is doing the same thing. Also my oldest son who is 22. He left home a few days ago to run away with a married woman. We raised our children in a loving, warm and Godly home. I just can’t imagine that the world has more to offer than God and family.

Linda, with suffering comes anxiety. This is a key passage to help set your mind and hopefully your husband’s too on the road to peace. Read each word slowly and deliberately, let each word take hold. I believe the key is “with thanksgiving”. I used to think… really, with thanksgiving for all this pain… but when I tried it truly I was transformed. Now I respond and not reacted to my circumstances. Hey, I know I’m a little late posting however I think these are wonderful God loving and praying ladies and I just wanted to ask if you could please pray for my Dad’s family, none of them have ever been church goers and they have always put God in the back burners, thankfully I have been blessed with a great God loving momma who raised me to know God comes first in all I do, I thank her and I thank God for that. My momma has tried for as long as she has been married to my Dad (and that’s over 30 years) to share Gods Word with them but all they do is ignore her or try and fuss with her. I’ve experienced a near-death-experience two years ago and I know in my heart and soul that I truly did meet Jesus Christ and God. God is more like an energy you feel, he’s everywhere when you’re with him. Jesus looked like a human being just as we are, I believe this is because he was sent down here on Earth to be the ultimate sacrifice for our lives due to our sins. This experience changed my life and opened my eyes to the importance of faith. However, I have many family members and friends who have not discovered Jesus Christ yet. I believe that my experience happened for a reason and I need to tell others about it. I need to be a messenger for God and help him save his children before he returns for his believers. Please pray for my family who has not opened their hearts to Jesus Christ. I will also pray for any of you who may be struggling with your faith, may God be with you. Amen <3

So i would like to pray for myself and family, I pray for peace and salvation for my wife Rachael, my daughter Lilly, my mum Kim, my dad Alan, my step dad mark, my brother kian, my sister osian, my brother rion, my brother Devin who has a heart condition, my brother in law Peter, and my father in law ralph. Please let them repent and embrace your love with eternity together with the Lord on heaven. Would you please pray for the salvation of my daughter (who was saved in 1997 at a Greg Laurie Crusade, but has been backsliden since she went to college) and her husband, as well as my son and his girlfriend who have been living together for the last 7 years. My children are very antagonistic towards Christianity and have chosen to estrange themselves from me. I am totally heartbroken by their choices and their estrangement, and I am fearful they might never repent and receive Jesus. Thank you for your prayers!
