Consider the Czech Republic, a country in central Europe. Our Czech Translator, Petra, started translating the Love God Greatly Bible studies when she was only 19, one year after she became a Christian.

After doing a summer internship in a church in Northern Ireland, she soon realized the amounts of Bible study resources available to women who spoke English. Her heart was heavy for the women in her home country whose first language was not English and who could not access any Bible study materials in their own language. She longed for them to be able to study and understand the Bible for themselves, growing in their personal relationships with God through His Word.

During her internship, she was invited to join an email group going through one of the Love God Greatly Bible studies. Learning more about Love God Greatly and getting so much out of her personal study, she decided to use the gift of language God had given her to serve Him and bring Him glory.

The Czech branch was founded in the early 2000’s. Petra has attended all of our Leadership Intensive trainings and her team continued to grow!

Petra Stoneman

Petra lives in Northern Ireland with her husband, Michael, and chocolate lab, Boomer. Originally from the Czech Republic, she serves on the LGG Translators team as one of the Czech Branch translators. Petra is passionate about discipleship and raising up a new generation of believers. She serves in the youth ministry of her local church alongside her husband, who is a full-time youth pastor, and she loves to encourage young women in their relationship with Jesus.
