You who have made me see many troubles and calamities
will revive me again;
from the depths of the earth
you will bring me up again.
21 You will increase my greatness
and comfort me again. – Psalm 71:20-21
Hope. I read today´s Scripture, and my heart fills with hope. God is telling Israel that, once it has felt the discomfort of its deprivation, then it will listen to the voice of God again, and He will allure it back to Himself.
With God, there´s always hope.
From the depths of the earth, you will bring me up again. Looking back, I can see a million troubles and calamities where my sin led me. I´ve been at the lowest points in my life, in the depths of despair and sin and yet, God never left me. He was always by my side, waiting patiently for me to repent and go back to His loving arms.
There may be times when you feel that you are alone, lost and that nobody cares for you. Even when our sin leads us to the depths of the earth, God brings up us again and again. God will comfort our hearts every time we turn to Him.
Dear Father, thank You for the hope we have in You. Thank You because You don´t give up on me and rescue me from the depths of my sin. You are a Good Father to me. Amen.
